For what I was charged, I don't think it's a new bezel. I think it's had a light polish. From talking to a few watchmakers, they think the reverser wheel in the auto wind mechanism may have come...

You can get an alligator strap for £300 but then need the deployment clasp. I'm more a bracelet person so didn't take up the option.
