Our old pal Dave put me onto Diemme years ago and gave me the heads up. Mine are the Roc’s.

Just got these back from Loake after a re-sole which they offered to do for free. Excellent service and my three year old Burfords feel like new..

Here we are then chaps year five since I was in the sun thinking about my winter shoes and started the brogues thread.
Some excellent contribution on this thread over the years which has cost me...
Lovely leathers and respectful being able to wear beige trousers still..

I paid £140 in a sale maybe 3-4 years ago, so I have no problem with £80 to have my shoes back in A1 nick. I am also size 8.5 in Loake, not the most popular of size.
I also picked up a pair of...

When you factor in high street would want £50 to do a decent leather...
Not sure but expect a 10% increase immently on Loake
I have several pairs of various Loakes, Grensons and Barkers but always return to these Chesters and their Burford brothers.
You won't go far wrong
Just had these returned from Loake after a re-shod at the factory.

Having all of them I would not agree that my Fred's or Burford's are any less of a boot than my RW 875's or chukka's.
Don't think RW do a black brogue boot but could be wrong.
Pitch
I have both the Burford and Fred's and if you are thinking formal Fred's would be far too heavy although bomb proof.
I have search my usual and no joy but these look like they could be a good...
Nice set which gets the most foot time??? A real good mix of modern and nice vintage pieces. hehehehehehe
Right off to dig out the rest of the chucka's, desert and chelsea boots, loafers, driving...
Lots of end of year/2017 SOTC being posted so thought I would join in.
Loake, Barker and Grenson for consideration
...

They are superb.
I am in Southwold on Friday if anyone needs a heads on stock. They have more in store than on the web.
Pitch
Do you need to ask, I'm from Bungay.
Excellent and good to hear. I might even pop over there again tomorrow for a further pair or two.
