Yup, Send it back. Also, in the event that it ends up getting moved on, it’s clearly something other buyers would be put off by. Even if you can live with it.

Great watches these and we’ll priced if found under 1500.

The Sinn 358 to me m, is it’s closest rival but I’d pick the big eye

If I saw a Sinn, I would assume the person is an enthusiast. Not seen one on someone’s wrist in passing ever though.

I think that if a strap could be fitted directly to the bezel lock, it would look much better, as it is, that metal adapter adds more length to an already long case.

As for the mod, I’m not sure...

Interested to see more. This feels like a hoax to me, the case looks a bit crude, bezel is funny looking, odd choice of strap and the scratches seem far too much for an under-the-radar prototype,...

I remember a fair amount of buzz around it when it came out, and a lot of comments about the price.

Not sure who buys a £40k Aqua Terra, even if it gives you a better golf swing.

It’s just a design choice, like ripped / baggy / flared jeans. Very popular at a particular time, not inherently bad or good. Glossy, engraved ceramic seems to be something of this particular age.

I think anything with particularly bold styling tends to age badly. So I would guess most Hublots, RIchard Milles and dare I say it, the current seamaster pro (which I think is a lovely watch)

The affordable reimagining will, and it will cost £1850.

The simultaneous reissue will be very close in dimensions to the original and cost £5k.

Just bringing this thread up from the depths as I’m really quite taken by the new whitepearl colour.

I like the look of the sub 200 but the bezel lume always seems to clash on the other models....

I’d just buy one in the colour you like. Dyes are going to be affected by the base colour and will take some experimentation to get it right, by which point, you’ve probably already ruined the strap.

Looks quite sporty to me, I’d probably veer away from black croc. Maybe tempted by a rubber or a faded brown/grey leather, or some two piece textile /canvas.
