Watched Judgement At Nuremberg tonight (Spencer Tracy). Not exactly seasonal but excellent film.

Kes is a brilliant film. I've only watched it once though as the end was so sad and depressing. The same goes for Ring of Bright water. I can't watch them again.

Watching 'The Ballad of Buster Scruggs' tonight (again). It drags on a bit in places but certainly a memorable film. Very good.

Watched Tunes of Glory (1960) last night. First time I have seen it. John Mills is excellent at being John Mills but Alec Guinness is just superb. Brilliant acting.

Thanks. Das Boot is superb. I visited the U-boat in Kiel. The one used for the filming. Hard to imagine how over 40 men could live in such small space.

Have read HG Wells but not seen this film. A man in torment!

The Cruel Sea for me tonight. Great stuff. Still pondering over his decision not to rescue the men in the water. Logically it was the right decision but a hell of a predicament.
