Triangle of Sadness
It’s an interesting one, starting with a young couple who are models & influencers that the term ‘shallow & vacuous’ could have been coined for, who as influencers join a...
Watched this yesterday, I found the husband hard to warm to. Still an enjoyable watch, thanks for the recommendation.
David O. Russell’s Amsterdam, a wonderful film a touch of melancholy, a lot of dry wry humour & a tremendous ensemble cast, I really enjoyed it. Streaming on Disney +.
The original is on Amazon prime, just need a wet afternoon now.
Over the last few days we’ve watched both Ava and The Protégé, don’t despite some big names attached they are dire, I can only assume some big tax bills had been recently received.
Watched ‘Boy’ last night written and directed by Taika Waititi, set in NZ with the lead character a 11 year old Maori who’s massive Micheal Jackson fan.
I felt it was very Wes Anderson like, a...
Not out until the 21st May but a mindless zombie crime caper, with zombie tigers, what’s not to like.

Watched this with the wife a couple of weeks back and found it perhaps 10-15 mins to long but interesting, worthwhile watching.
Also watched ‘The Mule’ last night and again perhaps a touch too...
Watched Vox Lux the other night and I’m not sure about it.
It’s a window into the the world of modern pop stardom with obvious hints to Lady GaGa and Madonna with a backdrop of teenage America...
Watched Bohemian Rhapsody on prime on the £1.99 deal, I’m not a Queen fan by any margin but found it to be an excellent film.
Also re-watched the Matrix last night and forgot that it’s over 20...
Rewatched Lucky Number Sleven last night cracking crime / hit movie.
I re-watched the Bill Withers documentary last night ‘Still Bill’ only available on YouTube as far as I can see
Not out here yet but very much looking forward to watching this early in the new year.

Wholeheartedly agree, especially re Wesley Snipes.
Watched God Bless America earlier this week on Netflix, it’s a dark comedy / satire about the self absorbed celebrity culture prevalent in North America, well worth a watch.
Went with the wife yesterday to see a "street cat named bob", surprisingly good, not great but a fine way of whiling away a cold December afternoon.
I was surprised how good the cats were in it....
In a fit of nostalgia brought on by a bout of man flu the last couple of days I've watched some older classics,
The Big Lebowski and Boogie Nights, both of which I'm sure will need no introduction.
I think I got as far as the toaster scene and stopped it, couldn't connect with it.
Watched the big short last night, cracking film that feels very close to reality and one of the actors has a cracking Oysterquartz too.
