This is on my watch list. I enjoyed 'all is lost' with Robert Redford which had minimal dialogue. I imagine arctic a sort of mix of that and Liam Neesons The grey only better

Yes the end was contrived but as you said the tension building was intense . The border crossing scene was fantastic.
