Looks good. Came close to getting that version myself. I’ve seen a couple of pictures of that model on leather too that look great if you don’t mind straps.

I’m a fan. The Santos has arrived recently

Tank has been worn a lot over the last year...
Just looks a bit too thick to me. The end of the lugs in particular look more bullnosed like a challenge rather than a regular deepsea.
I’ll go with Cameron dial challenge to fill another niche.
Isn’t that the deepsea challenge?
Orangey looking dial most intriguing, maybe this year’s eagle eye equivalent.
It does, excellent condition. And making a strong case for being the only watch needed.
Yeah, that’ll do very nicely. Looks great, love domed crystals.
It looks hardly worn, how old is it?
Not sure how successful it’s proving to be. Quite a few advertised on chrono. There’s a thread on omega forums where one guy in the UK is stating he’s already sold two and has an option on a third.
233 > 213
Seems to be a bit of a revival with 127 prices recently. I saw a few advertised £6-8k last year; all seem five figures now.
I generally prefer no date on anything other than full calendar watches, but this watch looks great overall, I think it can be forgiven. Even better if the ladder bracelet off the other revival...
🤣 Not understanding much of what’s going on here, but this made me laugh
Some strange omissions if that is a full list of brands to choose from, but some good options up to the credit value and beyond. Is it the insurer or AD who have stated it?
If Tudor is the watch...
A timely thread, I was about to put a 183 through for a service; may look at alternatives now.
Has anyone had any recent positive experiences going with panerai?
Oris have a few models in their sixty five range.
I like the look of it as is, not sure I’d be so happy with full patination, nor have the inclination to treat it. Price seems reasonable at £3.4K...
Junghans Meister driver day date may be an option if looking for something non-diver and seems good legibility. New is within budget on chrono24.
If the ultimate aim is a Daytona, the snoopy purchase is a more cost effective route in to it via future trade, is it not?
Back to JC talk, a local non-Rolex AD had an April 21 model in the...
Earth bund?
There’s a good range of watches around that level if Tag isn’t chosen. Oris divers 65 / aquis / big crown, Junghans Max Bill, multiple Longines, Nomos etc. are all great alternatives if they suit...
As your only watch? No for me. Doesn't sound like you've spent enough time living with your current two, and there are more versatile watches if you're going down to one.
Didn't you have issues with the case size of that range previously? What about hunting down a 390 for similar looks?
Other watches I like myself in that price range are striking 10th, reverso...
Not necessarily. Goldsmiths in the past have had discounted new watches where they have lost the box / papers so sold with their own warranty. I'm sure other ADs could do similar.
Nice collection. The Portofino would definately add some variety, but I like BPs so don't think I'd sell it to purchase the other. At least there's still plenty of choice even by concentrating on...
No problem. I'm just waiting for your 'what else can I buy for £5k?' thread to unleash a whole load of bizarre suggestions now!
What else is in the collection out of interest, or is it limited to...
No. I can kind of understand owning the two dated versions, but why would you want another black version without the date? When and why would you where one of the black dials over the other?
