Well, I'm certainly of that age (a teenager when it was released) and it was always a film that somehow passed me by, which is why I made a point of watching it.
Having watched it, I can't help...
I watched Quadrophenia last night as I'd never seen it.
Aside from spotting famous British TV actors, it was dire and I have to say it's 2 hours of my life I'll never get back.
A horrible...
Have you seen The American with George Clooney?
I wonder if this is in a similar vein as a lot of people seem to hate that film, but I really enjoyed it.
M
Agreed, the film is very good and Kingsley is outstanding.
Perhaps he meant the TV series? I've not seen that.
I just watched Matrix Resurrections - It's not TOTALLY RUBBISH, but if you've not seen any Matrix films, stick with the original trilogy.
Too many cut-in shots from the originals, a disjointed...
This reaction to producing truly awful TV or films seems to be growing.
The absurdity of Netflix's Cleopatra (Claptrapa?) being defended as 'racists not liking the facts' (and then Egyptians...
I've just finished watching John Wick 4.
I really enjoyed the first one, but have felt things were on a downward trajectory since then.
JW4 must rate amongst the most ridiculous films I've ever...
We watched it a couple of nights ago.
I remember being very disappointed by the original, but this one was, if not a classic, tolerable entertainment for a couple of hours.
I remain a little...
Yes, watched it on Disney+ last night - I slept through bits and the rest wasn't a patch on the other Thor films.
I have to say I was very disappointed with this one.
I struggle to think of...
Godzilla - King of Monsters.
That's two hours of my life I'll never get back, don't waste two hours of yours!

It was full of holes, but my wife and I, with our 24 year old son, rather enjoyed it, too.
Brains out, knock about fun.

I hate Jason Statham generally, but watched this on a plane and actually quite enjoyed it in a 'brain out' kind of way. Then again, long haul flights are pretty boring...
'Withnail and I' - I know...
Presumably he's doing them for the money...
M
Not sure what it was, but there were two robots stood either side of a tramp telling people Christmas was cancelled due to a virus that had sneakily transformed itself in 24 hours.
Must have been...
Totally agree.
My son reckoned we'd enjoy this one, but it was an all time low for me!

The Meg.
Usually I just don't watch anything with Jason Statham in because everything I have seen him in was awful.
This was awful, but I greatly enjoyed it for some reason.
Daft plot,...
Cool.
You're probably right about it being a quartz watch, but I was surprised to see an early clock (Can't recall how early now, but pretty old) with a movement that ticked - I even looked to see...
Were deadbeat watches unknown then?
I know clocks were sometimes fitted with such movements.

Is that a straight to Poundland release? :winkskull:
M.
How do you know it was quartz?
It wasn't a G-Shock was it?
M
Watching "The Grey" right now ... rubbish...

Each to their own, but he was referring to her 'acting'

I recall some reviewer saying that Rhianna was "pretty decent" in it - She's really not...
I only watched it as I think the Battleship in question is one I did a tour around when it was in the UK...
Or from the last 10 years (at least), but this was from 1995!
Timecop was pretty decent and he did a few other OK 'brain out' films, but this was awful...
