Hi, I thought I'd add my views on my blue Caribbean.
I generally swap around between my quartz Omega & a 2254.50 mechanical Seamaster, depending on what I'm up to.

My 'blue' arrived today (held back with the courier at my request as I could receive it last week). What a fabulous watch, very well presented in it's box, great appearance & quality & the nice...
Thanks for all of the replies.
I just wanted to understand better. I have an Omega SMP that I bought on SC 10 years ago, and which I will probably never part with. I don't really post very often...
Hi All
Without wanting to create controversy, I have a general question for comment.
Obviously some people simply trade watches for profit, either full time or part time & there is nothing...
Lovely coupe, really pretty, great period colour scheme.
I also do Triumphs (TR6 at the moment) & Omegas.
Omega brand's still thriving, Triumph no more, unless you inclue ladies lingerie -...
Hi. What a lovely Omega. Glad you like it.
Am curious over your user name. Dove? Peerless? Warwick? Herald? GT6? I too am a very TRying person!!!!
The first serious competitor since the 2254.50 for the best looking Omega ever
For classic sports cars in that price range I would say MG or Tiriumph. Both are cheap to maintain, have excellent spares back up, are easy to DIY, have fairly solid value & there is a car to suit...
Can recommend Dynasport - 5 years on & they are still great
When she said she wore strap-ons, her old man got the wrong idea...............
I got mine a couple of months ago & I just love it. I wear it every day, only changing it for my Seiko Sportura if I'm going to a rough area or doing something manual like DIY or messing with the...
Got my 2254.50 a few months ago from a forum member. I simply love it. I wear it every day, & only swap it for my Seiko Kinetic when working on the house/car, or going out to a dodgy neighbourhood
Hi
I was going through my cufflinks the other day & came accross these that I had forgotten about.
Thought some of you might be interested. Does anyone know if they are a rarity, or quite...
I used him a few weeks ago to Service my Omega, & am very pleased with the work he did for me
I use my Seiko quartz which is set against the talking clock. I verify my auto aginst both time sources as any gains losses should be the same against my quartz & the talking clock. I reckon the...
3-4 is very lucky.
1 second per week on the 2254 will not be a consistent thing imo, you are likely looking at a number of variables on gaining time one day and losing time the next.
In order...
I recently bought an Omega 2254.50 here on SC - my first quality watch. It was around 10 seconds a day out so, as it was 5 years old & never been serviced, I thought it was time it was.
Off it...
The only ones on THAT site I would touch come from a certain highly recommended & trusted Japanese dealer. They will attract import duty at 20%. His 2254.50s seem to sell for around £1100. Then add...
I am still toying with the idea of a shark mesh for my SMP (2254.50)
Well done, looks good.
I bought one a few weeks ago voa the forum, loving it. I'm thinking of putting it on a mesh to give some variety
I'm no expert but have just bought a 2254.50 on SC a few weeks ago (which I'm delighted with) :) . I investigated other servicing options to Bienne as cost/return time is high, & it seems that most...
What did you thhink of the selection & prices in the onboard shop?
Thanks for the alert
Hard to offer a view, without any idea of what you're looking at outing
As if to prove my point, there is a PO on SC right now at £1450, makes 2254.50s look expensive
