Must say I do like the look of quite a few Sicura models, large and 70s garish designs, but I just wouldn’t pay much for one and I’m not a fan of chrome plated cased watches.

What about modifying a pair of end links to take a strap like aftermarket fitted ones for Rolex, that way no extra holes in case and would give much more flexibility for change.

Surely if watchfinder won’t buy it, someone else will at the right price. If their buy in price for a £17k hulk is I dunno £14k maybe, then put it up for sale at £14k and bingo, sold

Never really liked skeletonise watches, most are almost illegible but that does look good, and the lume is quite Ming in style,,, but £3.5k or so for a CW? no way, take £2k off and its a winner.

Some well placed pieces of cloth or cape cod and it will polish as it winds, well at least until the watch falls into the mechanism and gets chewed up

Helm watches seem to have made the wait system/hype work well for them. I wanted a Vanatu for some time, went on the waiting list and picked one up about 6 months later
