Lovely watch, by the way!
Great seeing even all those back! Appreciate the post!
Homage to 6105 certainly, but truly and original. On my wish list.
Thanks for sharing this. I like seeing photos of the watches in the wild.
Look like a horrible accident between a watch, a flashlight lens and a hunk of plastic. Ugh!
I truly like the look, esp. on that watch.
Let me add my two cents that this is not only a lovely watch, but it's a fine review. I appreciate you taking the time to do it.
Very nice. You do good work!
Some were setup this way. You're quite right. I had forgotten that. However, I would say that not all ESA tuning fork-based movements had that ability. Then again, it could be what I've seen and not...
I own several of these and the battery can be a problem. As these movements were designed with a different battery (mercury) and voltage, they are a bit more susceptible to weaker batteries. If...
I never normally do these "incoming" threads but this one to me is a really special watch that I've wanted for a LONG time!
Three or more years ago, I was window shopping in Puerto Banus and saw...
This was my favourite combo out of all the PO varieties.

Hopefully it works OK in spite of the quality, but have to say it's fine looking on your P.O. Another watch on my list.
This is a universal. Japanese "imports" in the States are brewed in Canada. Go figure.
As to sneaking cheaper movements in...seems like they did that a lot and for many years. Only recently do I feel they're gone more legit. The Chronomat that I have from the 90's as been into service...
Mike, what are the sticky dots you're referring to? Sounds useful...
Totally agree. Using this manner will save you a lot of grief!

In the US, but they know their stuff.
Congratulations.
The PRS-68 is now on my wish list.
Replace the crystal, size the bracelet so you can wear it and forgot about the rest for now - IMHO. I like these watches, but they're never been "classics".
Love it! Combining knives and useful watch tools. Certainly nice to have for travel. Good catch!
Something about the watch just screams cheap and cool at the same time. Guess I need to see it in person. And, I am a big Seiko fan.
Thanks! This will save me some time!
Can me crazy, but I lust for a Eterna NIB KonTiki Diver. Ever since I've saw it, I felt like it was so different, I needed to own one. Have one for sale? :biggrin-new:
All of the above I would say. Based on my personal experience, they're some of the best watches for the money. I also love the look, the quality of the workmanship and the nice people in Frankfurt...
Sentimental value certainly (gift/inherited from family, friend, etc.); story behind it (great deal, great history, cool circumstance) and just plain like it. It's the watch that you keep putting on...
