Great watch, congratulations. Did it come with any other box, or is the one in the picture it?

That Globmaster is now with the extra bonus of dried oils and needing a service!
And the case looks a bit over polished.
You just blew me away, Martin, those are truly spectacular.

39 now.
I looked behind the sofa and found 3. I guess it is just forgotten.
They workmanship is what you would expect of GS. The movement is simple and built to last. It does not have a perpetual calendar and the hour hand can not be moved in discrete hourly steps like it...
To the OP, excellent watch and great taste. Enjoy.
Thanks, much appreciated.
Sub wannabes seem to be a dime a dozen.
Perhaps it is being blocked by the Inca block. :dejection:
Sounds like a great result for the various outlets... They pay rent and salaries and you end up buying the product online.
Strange that they are happy to spend time and money to show you watches...
Will Rolex service a watch that has been modified like that?
Indeed. If I could buy the watch I want from them I would. Their policy is very attractive.
Buy GS in Japan or get a friend/agent to do it for you. The UK price is absurd.
A great choice if you have a lot of money and little taste.
There is always a chance if they have the watch in stock. No harm in giving it a try. It has been my impression that Panerai prices are high enough for there to be room for a discount. In other...
Taking the back off a watch is not a trivial thing and it is doubtful whether a jeweler would, could or should do that.
I think I will keep my money...
There are steps involved, but the owner should easily be able to do this. I can't find an English manual for the A060 movement, but I assume it works in a similar way to the A010.

By intervention I just meant a battery change. This watch is solar powered, but I believe the rechargeable battery eventually needs to be replaced.
The watch itself is nice, but I don't like the faux aging and I am not a fan of the strap.
It depends how you feel about servicing. I have a Grand Seiko quartz and I change the battery myself. No need for it to go anywhere.
With respect to the watch being discussed here, then I suspect...
Congratulations. As far as watches are concerned it is hard to do better than that. Enjoy!
