Very good, house and pool were ideal if a little rural, can't fault the booking process.
Would like to be near a larger town or city next time for more restaurant choice.

Good to know, thanks for the feedback, they have a great selection.

Sorry for the thread bump but wondering if anyone has bought from Sakura recently and how it went, looking for a nice daily Seiko or Citizen. Any other recommendations gratefully received as it seems...
I quite like it as a dressy beater and the price is not extreme, beats 4 grand for an Oris.

Come to the conclusion that I prefer dress watches over anything else for the comfort. Been looking at some of the early 90's to early 2000 watches from the likes of Blancpain, Chopard, GP or an...
Have a Longines Evidenza, heavy rose gold case with a solid back. Movement is a L615 which is an ETA 2895. Timekeeping wasn't great from new, about minus 15 secs a day so will get a service soon but...
Looking for recommendations for a weeks car hire this summer, flying into Nantes and driving up to Brittany.
Loads of booking sites including Autoeurope which I have never heard off which throws up...
Have a Certina ds8 with the 80h movement, the power reserve stays up there but accuracy is all over the place. I only wear it a few weeks a year and it was about half price in the Hour Passion outlet...
Miele currently but had a Siemens (high end Bosch) for 15 years without issues, would only look at those brands
Agree with the above but avoid Dawson jewellers as they are extremely expensive, the airport has had nothing since Hour Passion closed, in fact the airport is so bad I'd go straight to the gate.

Thanks all, having use Sykes cottages last Easter for a house in Cheshire and gotten burned I'm a bit cautious of all letting agents now.

Cheers for that, took a punt on a house in Rosporden, got good reviews and had a private indoor pool.
Will report back, good or bad.
Anybody ever use them for a gites hire, seems they are a french government agency.
Looking for a week in a decent house around Brittany.

Another Miele here last 5 years, only thing I don't like is it takes nearly 2.5 hours to do an eco cycle compared to the 99 minutes on the previous Siemens

Have a week booked in Costa del Sol end of September and looking for any recommendations on car hire companies that don't try and rip you off.
MalagaCar.com seems to get ok reviews, anyone else

Shocked to hear this, loved them since New Life
Would agree on la scala, good years ago when we first went but really downhill the last time we were there in 2018, unfortunately it's the first restaurant you come to in the town just after the...
Stayed a few times, town next door is good for restaurants and the supermarket especially the ice cream parlour and the Chinese a few doors up.
Delft and Leiden are good days out and the auto...
Would agree, done stena Holyhead to Dublin at Easter, premium is worth the extra. Avoid Dublin and look at going Wexford, Waterford or Cork, Kerry or Galway, mayo. All doable in about 3 hours from...
Accuracy not great in my experience, -10 to -15 secs per day, Certina DS 8.
Think the movements in a lot of the Swatch brands below the Omega level are swopped out at service.
Have had loads from vintage to new, vintage are cheaper but can be quite small.
Currently have a steel Zenith Port Royal Elite and a pink gold Longines Evidenza.
Had one, steel and gold but with the solid burgundy dial so probably a late 80's one, had problems with the bracelet which kept breaking which I believe is a design issue with how the links attach.

This chap seems to have serviced a lot of UG over the last few months, he puts up step by step pics of the service. Might be worth an email.
Much prefer a topic around vintage watches, the different movements and finishing even on the lower end stuff like Certina and Cyma makes the whole thing more interesting.
