Another shout out for Duncan at Genesis. Did my two Zeniths recently including a flyback el primero. stellar work.
I second the Zeniths - I have the black and white version and it's one of my favourite pieces.
Very good alternative to the ubiquitous Speedmaster, extremely comfortable to wear, and can be had for...
Thanks for that - I'll give RSC and Century a call to get the lay of the land and make a decision.
Bought a Seiko SKX009 new for my birthday back in 2009, still going strong almost 15 years later.
Thought I'd lost it in a house move for a few years only to find it in a random box - like getting a...
Am also in the market for a service for my 16600 so this thread has been very helpful.
Thinking Century might be the ones to go for, I'm in north London so about an hour way, saves me the worry /...
Thanks again everyone very helpful
Thanks all, greatly appreciated. The bracelet on my 16600 needs some TLC which I'm hoping to get done in the next month or two.
Totally agree the inner bezel / rehaut is pointless and tacky.
I'd be fine with this being either quartz or auto, but 45mm is just too large. Make it 40mm and give the Sinn 856 / Damasko DK36 a run...
Have the same one and I love it to bits. Perfect size, incredibly useful complication.
I recall someone, somewhere on this website recommending a Rolex bracelet servicing shop - foolishly I didn't note it down at the time and can't for the life of me find it anywhere. If you have any...
I went down the portable audio rabbit hole a couple of years ago (highly enjoyable experience!) but I have yet to try any DAPs.
They certainly meet your stated use case - wanting a player separate...
That credor chrono looks fantastic! can imagine it's quite rare as I never seen this model before - what's the model no. if you don't mind?
Rolex SD 16600 bought from this forum - my first Rolex and a grail watch.
I'm also wearing it a lot more than I expected!
That's pretty damning if true... sordid affair all told and can't believe no one was keeping close track of where the funds were going to ensure they actually met their charitable commitment.
Love the Millemetri, would be delighted to add one to the collection one day.
I generally prefer straps to bracelets but I think it looks good on the bracelet here.
I've also had a couple of very positive experiences with Stuart at Zenith / LVMH. Good guy and made me appreciate the brand even more.
I bought this 'crazy cow' leather strap from them a few years back and it's a mainstay in the strap box:

Helpful to know and thanks for sharing! I've faced issues with FedEx and TNT in the past - awful experiences and I swore never to use either again. Good to know the law has been tightened in favour...
Great read, really enjoyed that. Not a perfect metric but I think it passes the "gut" test and the results give an accurate picture of the watch production landscape.
Owned this for a bit couple of years back. fantastic value.
I think it looks superb on a brown leather strap.
Three steel sports watches...
