Spencer Klein measured it as 31.5 so I'm still curious as to whether there was a running change or the 32mm above was a typo:

...thread resurrection, but query you might be able to answer. You note that the crystal is 31.5mm but then that you fitted a 32mm. I'm sure I read somewhere it was 31.5mm... is that wrong?

Is the 300 eur you're quoting for the SLA073 from the first post? The Grand Seiko boutique on Bond St. said it's £250. When I insisted they check they said 'oh, actually it's £400'...
Afraid the GMT doesn't do it for me at all as the appeal of the slas (for me) is:
- solid 8l35 movement (I wouldn't let another 6r in the house :wink-new: )
- really first rate dial and hands
(...
True, but the mm300 is just too big for me and these have appreciably better dials/hands/bezels than the mm300 or much else for that matter. I would certainly not be buying one new in any case; the...
Hi,
Long-time since I posted, but curious if anyone has first-hand experience of either? Accuracy? Finish compared to anything comparably priced that you own?
Thanks!

Ouch! Was that salvageable?
What's that's strap made from? Nylon? Canvas?
Ta.
Did you ever find one? I'm considering keeping an SPB151 I've been staring at in the box for a couple of weeks but I'd prefer a strap over the bracelet.

Watchobsession confirmed that Hirsch don't sell the clasp separately, and suggested that Hirsch actually make the TAG clasp and strap.
No objection for stumping up for a Hirsch Speed with the the...
A quote from Kamil, to be clear. And he had a 9month lead time.
Good luck to him - his work is stunning and 350 felt reasonable to me, but the dial/hands aren't good enough to justify it.
I had a quote for E_3_50 for restoring the case on an Omega, so sounds like you passed-up a bargain!
Mind you possibly a more complex geometry on the Omega, it's like this one:...
I prefer the dial on the SPB143 (subburst)
The seconds hand on the SPB151
The crystal on the SPB151
The bezel material on the SPB143 (the brushed, engraved and coated steel is a different league...
Late to this party but a SPB143 and SPB151 just landed and I just wondered if anyone else here has both.
What surprised me is that the SPB151 /looks/ the smaller of the tow due to the way the lugs...
So a SPB143 and SPB151 just landed (may keep both/either/neither as I got a cracking discount on the pair).
What's odd is measuring the thickness and L-L makes me think either the quoted...
Here's a Bader clasp for those still wondering :-)

It doesn't seem the hole-less/tang-less deployant is a Dexel innovation though, right?
Yes, I can see that the design expects a certain thickness. That said there are a number obvious ways the cinch design could be modified to allow a range.
How do you find that (Hirsch Performance?) strap? Sweaty or not noticable vs leather?
Yes - that's on of the main advantages, correspondingly the adjustment is continuous.
You can see the T piece on the tail end locks/pinches the strap in-place when it's folded flush:...
I take-off/put-on my watch a lot at least three times a day over a tiled concrete floor... if it stops me dropping the thing once a year then job down. It's also just quicker, but I agree for most...

The first chromed example seems to be the same design, but it's not apparent...
Yes - I thought I'd attached one... doh!
The design seems better in every respect.
I just bought a thoroughly cheap'n'nasty fake TAG Heur/Breitling style deployant clasp as I wanted to evaluate the design before sourcing a better quality item.
This design seems:

Not to worry, there'll be another L.E. along in a minute. My bet is for a green one next, but perhaps we should have a poll.
