I suspect that was people wanting the last few. Sales figures overall latterly were shockingly low.

Yes indeed. The new one is not aimed at that market although its aims are durability and unbeaten off-road capability.
Time will tell us if they’ve achieved that but I suspect most buyers won’t...
Quite possibly - but I’m just suggesting those who’ve taken against it without seeing it are bring unwise.
Remember that LR were selling hardly any Defenders when it was withdrawn suggesting it...
I've been privileged to have seen the new Defender un-camouflaged and it's gorgeous. I'll be after one when released.
