Yes the 93250 had brushed sides, however that's not to say they haven't been touched up via refinishing.
Hope that helps.

Looks like a 1016 to me!!
Most AD’s won’t even add you to a waiting list for the SD-43 so a grey or pre-owned might be your best option.

Very nice, the Pepsi and jubilee work well together, like having a new watch I'd imagine.

If it's possible to remove the case back you'll likely see a quarter and year code stamped in the back, for example II.66 meaning second quarter of 66.
I've personally seen a IV.66 with a serial of...
Beautifully engineered, but I wouldn’t like to regulate it!!
Great result, and what you'd hope for from a legitimate company!!
Much better to find out now than in three years or so when it goes in for a service!!
I wonder what cover story the vendor will use? (got it off me mate seems a favourite)

Yeah the hands do look a bit beefy, as for the movement the big tell is the method by which the dial feet are secured, they protrude through the movement plate and are held by a friction arm that...
This one was definitely manufactured to defraud someone!!
All that you've mentioned, plus "S" shape in SWISS is wrong, rehaut engraving out of position and then there's the movement!!
Thanks Ken, yes it's much safer to sneak around in the background.
I liked their description of the jubilee bracelet as well!!
Sadly it's sometimes only when they're sent back to Rolex for service that it comes to light.

Not bad for a 27 year old, does about +2 seconds a week in wear.
Very interesting read, thanks
A 16233 Datejust on 62523 H.18 bracelet with new style diamond dial, Boxes and original papers would sell in the North for circa £4,5k and be bought for say circa £3k and down South for circa £500...
Great find, I remember selling those in the late 70s[emoji106]

The 16750 would probably be best long term investment but it depends how you're going to wear it as its acrylic glass won't be as durable as the Sapphire of the 16710.

1991 Sub works for me (takes a lickin and keeps on tickin)

Its always been black dial sports watches for me!!
Yes it looks like it's put on to link it to a Daytona, some company's know these bracelets have references but don't understand their meaning, you might expect a genuine Oyster of this style to have...
Yes sadly it's wrong, Oysters from that period had folded centre links plus the coronet and text on clasp looks wrong too.
You will sometimes see clasps without codes though.
Cheer, Phil.
