So, looking to try a different colour strap, initially thinking Burgundy, though happily...

No this will be a one off. I needed something with a date on and have always wanted to get a GS, but never committed.

Like you I would have preferred it to have...

I am really interested to read your thoughts on different strap options.
As I always like to add variety to a watch which would change its appearance.

Incidentally, the watch actually comes...

Over the many years!!
I have learnt to recognise watches by their model numbers, for example Rolex and Patek.
But I have never quite got my head around all the letters that proceeds the numbers on...

Has anyone got or had the SBGA293G?
Saw this in a Boutique in Sydney and was quite taken with it.
But there doesn’t appear to be too many around.
