    Re: speedy urge! I can't quote a price since----->

    they are much less here in the US of A.
    An excellent example can be had here for about $1500US.

    I think that's because they are so abundant here.

    What I will say is get a Speedmaster Pro. The...
  3. Re: Seamaster question. Your watch looks fine------>

    You are thinking of the Planet Ocean who's HE valve lines up differently than the SMP Chrono.

    The SMP has a 7750 movement and you can check yours against the pix of one I used to own.

    Cheers…...

    Leather is fine (pic)------>

    I always prefer a NATO, usually nylon. Watch is safer when swimming should a pin fail.

    a 3 jaw case wrench. They gave me a box large enough to hold a TV!
    I offered to check my ballpoint pen, but they declined.

    I wouldn't risk a strap tool. Put it in your...
  7. Re: I'm sure I'm in a minority, but------>

    I was very excited about getting my 3536 aquatimer.

    Once I wore it, I was disappointed. Moved it on the next week!

  8. Bigbird. Paint removal------>

    I would use acetone or nail polish remover that contains acetone.

    Be careful, it shouldn't hurt any thing.

    Or, pop the bezel off to be safer.

  9. Re: New incoming SMP Chrono. You might think me daft but------>

    I had one of those. Fine watch. Flipped it after 2 1/2 years.

    Since so much paint is already missing, I'd remove the rest. I think the look of a plain steel bezel might surprise you. Then if you...

    Re: What do you tell them? The truth!------>

    that the serial number on the movement matches the one on the seven o'clock lug.

    Find a watchmaker during the week and------>

    have him loosen the back so the buyer can inspect the
    movement on Saturday.

    Then it will be the buyer's responsibility to
    retighten the back.

    Good luck… Joel M

    Neat watch. That is a flyback movement if you didn't know!--

    Press the reset button while chrono is running and it will flyback to zero.

  20. Omega Seamaster chrono. I used to think mine was too big, an

    I almost sold it.

    Tried it on a blue NATO and it
    is quite comfortable.

    Without the weight of the bracelet
    it's just right for me.

    Very glad I didn't let it go.

    Re: Regulating a Miyota 8215. Don't touch the one at 9 o'clock->

    Re: Caseback Removal Tool. Casewrench,holder and vise (pix)---->

    You probably won't damage back if done this way.

    I open Rolexes the same way with a Rolex type wrench.

    Make sure to press down FIRMLY on wrench.

    Practice on an "unloved" watch first!

    Roller jewel does not come in pairs. Just one, has no counterpart.

    It's part of the roller table on the balance staff and engages the pallet fork.
