great, thank you
I've found a 2446 pusher but I need a pusher for the 3646. The end cap is the same size for both (4.4 mm). The thread diameter for the 3646 pusher is 2.3 mm, but I'm not sure what the thread diameter...
you all are looking at this the wrong way. clearly they designed it to be as theft resistant as possible, and did a fantastic job
that looks great. did you do the box yourself as well?
I see quite a few Heuer Autavia pushers available on eBay listing length, thread diameter, pusher diameter and sometimes cap diameter, but not which Autavia models they actually fit. Is there some...
gorgeous watch. I expect I'm in the minority in preferring the charm of the sloppily applied lume on the OG models

this reads as a quasi-comical account of brazen chicanery
I love the part where they appear to use a display caseback to save on gold but then, not wishing to actually display the monkey business...
Yes but with only the drugs
He did indeed give me a refund without argument. The shop is Variety Time Clock and Watch Repairs of London.
I have posted a thread in H&V linking to this one. Thanks again for everyone's advice.
I'll post the name of the shop after I retrieve my watch and receive a refund (assuming I he honors his word).
He agreed to give me a refund, but just now I noticed that he has deleted the...
He has asked to have another go at it and then give me a refund if I'm not satisfied. I responded that I'd rather just take the refund. Waiting to hear back from him. Thanks for everyone's advice, in...
This was a 480 pound service purportedly requiring disassembly, not just an adjustment. He claims to have replaced the mainspring.
I don't want to be unreasonable but I'd like to get my money's...
I had my Val 92 autavia serviced recently and it was running at +1 sec for a few weeks but after I let it wind down and then wound it again, the accuracy degraded to somewhere around -30 secs per...
some people here appear to assume that the perp is obvious, but there won't be any cameras in a locker room. presumably quite a few people entered and exited the room before the theft was discovered....
at 4000m half the watch is still at sea level

Wow Olli's prices are great relative to what I paid to have my Autavia 3646 serviced. 325 GBP for a mechanical chrono versus 480 GBP (including a new mainspring). I figured that was the going rate...
thanks this is quite helpful, I appreciate it
I had my vintage Autavia serviced recently and afterward, while it kept time to about +5 seconds per day, it wouldn't start after winding down completely, so I took it back. The watchmaker, who was...

I guess nobody's prefect
"frogmen of paris"
self-deprecating humor from the French? that's worth the price in itself
back in the old days James Bond could never afford a gold Submariner on a government salary. these days, for want of a sufficiently lengthy relationship with a dealer, he'd have to settle for one.

the guide at the Patek museum said the Nautilus was originally an object of widespread derision with people referring to it as Dumbo because of how the "ears" stuck out. maybe it's common knowledge...
OK I'm just going to use the existing pusher and chrono sweep hand because the only source for replacements (heuertime) is in Switzerland, won't sell the parts unless I have the watch serviced there,...
