Really like that mate, great buy. Agreed on the strap, I think it'll dress down nicely

Great story and pictures. I can see some JLC and your Fifty Fathoms, I'm interested to know if you ever ventured into any holy trinity watches or similar brands, and if not then why?
I'm in a similar position, the only "value" buys I see at the moment are 2nd hand Breitling. Everything else seems to have inflated out of my comfort zone
A datograph, a zeitwerk, a VC overseas perpetual calendar, an AP RO perpetual calendar, a chronometre bleu and a classic model from Laurent ferrier
Can't imagine how the people who queued overnight are feeling
Very true!
Trying to decide whether to get the moon or the mercury. Would prefer the original moonwatch look but the light grey coloured case looks a little plasticky, which seems less visible with dark grey...
Bumping this thread again, I'm looking for something to wear throughout the colder months and can survive the heavy wind/rain we occasionally get. This is purely for the city as I walk to work for...
Yeah they literally never say anything negative about any of the watches they review, I'll go there to see pics but wait for forum feedback for real opinions
Pretty much reducing the Omegas to their retail prices a year or two ago, pre the ridiculous price jumps
On a scale of available in shop windows to a year's waiting list, where do you think the basic subs will lie Ryan?

Would be worried about scratching the non-ceramic bezel on this!
Probably harder to fake the movement decoration on the smp with the open caseback, making it easier to spot a fake
I immediately assumed this was a Ulysses Nardin, normally a fan of Breguet but I've never liked their Marine line
Was thinking about this but the dial looks very flat and bland, could do with some colour
As others have said, while you will happily spend your free time reading and researching watches and the latest releases, for many of these people it’s just a job they may not have any interest in...
Quite impressed by these, especially after the recent run of disappointing sport watch releases, but priced a bit too high imo
What an offer, I can't attend but it's great to see how much you do for this forum Piers
Vacheron
Breguet
FP Journe

How have you got on with the VC Overseas out of interest?
My biggest concern with this watch is the dial might appear quite flat and uninteresting with the lack of any applied indices
Itsguy I saw you mention the next step up is the minimatik at £2850 but I would say it is in fact another new release, the club neomatik found here for £2350, so not such a big jump vs the possible...
Having little to spend on watches, the Nomos club campus range jumped out at me too, glad I'm not the only one to notice them. Reservations about the inverted california dial aside, I think it's a...
I thought I saw Peter Jones wearing an FP Journe in one episode this season, although I couldn't see the specific model
