I was thinking about Grand Seiko and would agree their attention to detail when it comes to finishing is probably superior. I guess the average GS buyer looks closer than the average Rolex buyer.

I will have it corrected at the next service. Bought the watch in the UK (Goldsmiths) and am living in Australia now so would be a bit of a hustle to raise as an issue. I wouldn’t say it’s a big deal...

Yep, I heard they are now working on world peace and reversing global warming.

Maybe it’s looking too similar to a sub (apart from the bezel and green GMT hand, pcls on bracelet) so they are trying to clean up the range.
