I've heard that next year they are doubling it up to two lines and getting rid of the cyclops. I'd get rid now whilst you still can :la:

I have to say that is one of the nicest watches to appear on SC for a long time and I was watching progress over the Christmas period and if my deal fell through I would have been competition. A...
Robby, the 5512 was laid before you on a silken cushion like you were a royal prince and I was some visitor from the East looking to exchange it for exotic spices. The cash offers on top kept getting...
And how many times have you actually used the tachymeter on your absolutely necessary white gold Daytona to record speed as you whizz along the Florida sands. No, I guessed not, instead you are down...
Thank you. I had seen your WTB and my thoughts were if someone offers up a Daytona to give you a quick PM, but I think I prefer this now and the trade price wasn't that much above the final RRP,...
No, it wasn't although I did have several exchanges with Simon, but we didn't quite get there. I did a hero status, it was Andrew (Ilovesubs). It wasn't a straight swop, we agreed a fair trade price...
Thanks H, at least you can't accuse me of not giving these things a try. Still yet to try a GMT?
The 5512 has gone to someone with a decent selection of 5513s who will appreciate it more than I...
Yes. On the SC listing I originally stated looking for a Ceramic Daytona, but people don't seem to want to part with those. I have always liked the SD4000 and included it in the list of possible...

You can go off people Bob.
On a serious note one of the finest collections on the forum, definitely quality over quantity.
Thanks. Yes it is, Philippe was great to deal with - highly recommended.
1978 - the year I joined the Civil Service and ended up staying for 34 years and a 5512 from 1978 to add to your splendid collection. It was indeed a good year...

Nice one Mark - great watch.
Nice to see you and Ally picking up desirable watches from ADs. I can't get a sniff of these at all so end up on the vintage road as you can at least buy those....
Did Rolex do coffins 40 years ago...

At a guess: 16800
Come on, you can't post that image without a bit more detail. What's the story and where did it come from etc.
Very nice, looks a little warmer than Inverness :eagerness:
I was looking at the Lume shots from earlier in the thread so decided to check mine out, completely dead, not a flicker - happy with that.

That's about the best photo that I have seen of this watch and it actually makes the cyclops look okay.
You may want to fog out the serial number below the 6!!
A stunning pair of watches. Crazy to think that in large parts of the country the sale of those two watches would buy you a decent house.
[QUOTE=paneristi372;3759793]Some stunners on here.
Still need to find a 1665 :-/
Have and had a few though!

Stunning collection of watches - What colour of 1665 is on that wants...
Best way to post photos from an i-pad

Then copy the hotlink to forum (1) and paste into the narrartive box on here - works fine.
Ignore the pic...
Completely agree - stunning collection Bob, you must be very proud of them. Top watch for me - the Daytona, closely followed by the Red Sub.
