your next purchase, a 700F with an original SQ Bracelet?
the 7548 is one of my favourite watches - tough as boots with quartz accuracy
if it is the 7548 model that the General wore, then I think the "Stormin Norman" is the 700F - the model with the SQ symbol above Divers 150 and with the suwa symbol next to the date rectangle. i.e...
6106-7570 Advan from 1972 ............ Advan = Advanced Design .........and 25 J below the date window is 25 Jewels ........6106 movement
alongside a Rolex OP 6426 (from 1973), for size/style...
if you have an original Seiko Z199 then that's always the one IMHO
Apart from the usual - bevel around the date/day window, length of 6 marker and the A in Japan, I think the main thing to look for is the quality, size and spacing of all the print on the dial, and...
There are so many "fakes" around
Have you got a check list of what to look out for when identifying fakes v originals
(I know all your were original)
seen them before and I'm envious
Hopefully you have got 3
Buy another watch to fit that dial to - the one you have is in great nick and needs leaving 'as original'
that's nice - why would you want to change the dial?.............or have I misunderstood you
(I prefer the one without the "5" on the face ........ I prefer it on the Caseback)...but that's just...
Apparently the 7548 movement drops straight into the 6309 case.....with no modifications needed
I bought it already done from a guy in Finland
a quartz "Turtle"
7548 in a 6309 Case
Uncle Seiko Bracelet

I would have expected the hands to be gold
looking at your dial - the Dial on my watch appears to be original - surrounds are similar to yours
Look at second hand - Black and white - so the...

Here's a 7548 I picked up in January from The States
It's a lovely watch and I have just put it on an Uncle Seiko "Razor Wire" Bracelet - the Bracelet is unusual and certainly different
anyway...
a couple of "Turtles"
6306 and 6309

That's the Glory of Seiko - so many interesting watches to collect - and their quality, no matter at what price point, has lasted
6105's
8009, from 1969
and it's fatter son
8110, from 1976
I have an original crystal for the 8009
Really nice
6106-8100 - Seiko's First Diver - but only 70m Proof
1969
38mm
case in really good condition, as is dial and hands
all bezel inserts seem to be like that
Images do not do it justice - better...
Thanks Neil - I'm now looking for an original bracelet
