Lovely bike, was torn between one of those and my Indian Scout Bobber.
Was on my way to Brands Hatch - in full track day attire thankfully - and the guy in front of the van in front of me did an emergency stop in the fast lane because he had missed his junction....
Just had a quick browse of the last few weeks of this thread - glad you like it. Totally unexpectedly it was the best vfm upgrade I had ever made to a bike in terms of transforming the feel and ease...

Agree also with the other advice to get a Honda/Yam second hand. Depreciation will be minimal when you come to sell.

Yeah I jest about the clenching. Handling is fine for me too, even at lunatic speeds on track.
Still got the 16” here. As you know, limits tyre choices a little but it’s the original…and how else are we supposed to clench cheeks as we dive into corners?

When I was looking at R1150GS’s the presence of the electronic servo brake system was a walk away deal breaker for me. Sounds like one of the worst devices ever fitted to a bike.
Cheers Andy, I love speed but I am still somewhat unsure about how fast it’s safe to take Paddock, and the best line in to it, so will defo wind it in a bit.
