I test drove the estate version back in the day. Sublime engine, if only it had a bit more front legroom for us taller types.
I was told by someone involved in financing second hand cars that they were super busy, probably down to avoiding public transport. Suspect new car sales must have slowed though.
I was hooning one of those on a Palmer day at Bedford Autodrome. On a cold damp morning it really didn't take much encouragement to get totally out of shape on a bend...….
Totally agree - fortunately it is very "rare".
I have a question - why can't they have made them with more legroom for us taller gentlemen!
Love the 993 but the 997 was the first gen that felt like I could actually sit in a degree of comfort....
I always found the clutch to be un-necessarily heavy in them and there was an uncomfortable ridge around the top of the gear-knob.
I think the Speed 6 engines have a plate though as that was TVR in house (and needs rebuilding after about 20k miles....)
