I needed to order an extra link anyway after removing the divers link and as the screw went too far through I thought I'd better not keep it on the watch in case it came loose or something stupid so...
I did the exact same thing on the same watch when the shop wouldn't remove the divers extension for me as they said it was a modification. It cost me £60 for a new link and screw. Lesson learned.
