Am in a similar position currently; enjoy wearing a classic, mechanical watch. Do not need a smart watch. Kind of want one anyway.
Did a wardrobe clear out of old tech down to computer exchange so...
Yes, I think that was removed a good 2/3 years ago now. Feedback is now 'sellers only'.
I'm afraid the only dead cert way to find it is to replace it.
The moment the new one is outside of its return window the old one will be sitting, staring at you, plain as day.
I was looking forward to this one going on a bit with faaaaar more crazy theories as to purpose.
An item that truly is as interesting as it is useless.
At that money I'm sorely tempted to order on purely as a toy :)
We Buy Any car is part of UK Car Group, better known as 'British Car Auctions' who also own an interest in CAP.
That is:
They own the company that buys the cars
They own the company that sells...
Boom. Boom.
Funny looking old thing.
Wonderful value for money; sad that so many will buy high-street shiny bling rubbish for the same money :(
Bought on here a few months old and just before the sales corner rules changed. I still like it so much I don't care that I don't have enough posts to buy anything else!
Green and gold - all a bit 'jingle bells' for me!
I think these are really lovely, classic and tasteful looking watches.
The photo posted above is the one thing that bothers me though; I know I really shouldn't care what other people think but...
I think with more colour in there it would look overly busy but the black/white keep it tasteful. I think it works; not a bad looking thing by any stretch.
I spent my bonus a few years ago on a Sinn 857 without trying it on solely on the basis that I loved the looked and the numbers made it look modestly sized. It actually wore on me like a bit of a...
I owned an 857 UTC for a while and wore it daily.
It picked fights with several door frames and won each and every one of them. The door frames never stood a chance.
Damn tough watch. Felt...
That's bloody lovely; I've always fancied a one of these :)
I was going to make a joke about 'having some left over for a brew' thinking you'd come across a crazy wives' tale polishing method. Turns out we thought of the same funny :p
Look forward to...
Consciously a 'fake' or simply a case of nicking a design being easier than coming up with your own?
In the case of valuable stuff certainly but when making untraceable cheapos using a rip of...
That's a 10 minute walk from my house; been past a thousand times but never actually been in.
I'll swing past and ask, thank you :)
Thank you for the pointers; their pricing models seem far more palatable :)
I've just my daily wearer and no desire to change until I can (realistically) afford the Submariner I've always wanted.
I'm not 'off' watches; merely content just where I am.
I have a Glycine Combat Sub I wear every day and love; it has sadly started to lose a bit of time. Over a fortnight it loses something like 3-4 minutes.
It's now 4 years old so would probably...
Thanks minkle, it was actually the blue company that put me onto those above. They appear to be the official service agent for the UK.
Hoping to pick the brains of those a little more experienced on this side than me.
My Combat Sub is 3 years old, loses a fair bit of time and has some small cosmetic marks.
Glycine themselves...
I saw this pop up on the 'new threads' thingamy earlier and thought we had a DIY forum I'd not previously noticed.
I take your point! :D
