I have been hunting one of these for over two years now. Finally scored :)
It has the best design elements of the Benrus divers, with the British MOD dial and SAR-like bezel. It was one of the...
and a minor repair performed. This civilian SM300 was not handwinding as it should. Since everything else worked fine, I narrowed the possible causes down to a few parts. I orderd a new winding...

I also have one in 18mm for the Eterna WWW

Jurgens straps come in 17mm. Another option is to find an 18mm NATO that is a bit narrower (17.5mm for example) or a 16mm that is closer to 17mm. I have seen many tolerance variations on NATOs.

Fell free to delete it then. My apologies, BMW is the only forum I regularly visit, I guess the watchtalk forum would have been more appropriate.
Actually, $85, the dial is the original dial. The owner wanted a diff. dial, but it was for a crown at 4 case, so it didn't work.
The total on this one was about $105
Included dial swap, red-tipped sweep, case prep and bead blasting, cost of black date/day wheels and installation.
A slightly less industrial look :P

Very nice! Congratulations. That slipped under my radar or I would have bid on it also. Any chance the issue numbers were worn off? or erased?
They are usually fainter to begin with.
The original flat sapphire was nice, but I had been hankering for a domed crystal to complete the vintage look, so I finally did it.
Probably not 100 M WR any more, but I have plenty of other...
The Sandoz was a private purchase on a sales corner, $180 IIRC..

The 12 brands that supplied WWW spec watches to the MoD from mid-1940s to early 1950s:
Buren
Cyma
Eterna
Grana
IWC
JLC
Lemania
Longines
Omega
Picked up an Eterna and a Lemania WWW, with an option on a Buren :) to add to the Cyma, Timor, Record and Vertex.
That makes 6 (half of the dirty dozen) and one more in the cross hairs..

Just got this back from Aldo, who re-finished and re-plated the case and re-lumed the dial and hands. A sympathetic restoration.
