You're quite right Mick... 130 is mine!
I'm in.
It's my 50th in March and I've a lovely Aqua Terra tucked away for it. I'm getting rid of 2 or 3 watches this month and after that... I just want a decent rubber strap for my SMP and a...
Tips on the Chinese rip offs are crap. They break so easily. I've a set off eBay that I tried to get on with, but as above, Bergeon is hard to beat and <£20.
Pop the springbar out of the clasp first, so you can lay the watch face down on a cloth with no obstructions.
Use the tool to pull back one side of the springbar but apply enough pressure from...
The ETA quartz in my 3 handed Tag F1 was about £30 in Cousins last time I looked.
I find myself, as a NI resident, in a strange 'best of both worlds' part of the UK/Ireland.
Still in the EU trade zone yet still in the UK.
It'll be interesting to see how it all pans out.
I have a static engine and the workshop. Both in a box in the shed and hasn't run in decades!
Must get it out and see what state it's in.
Looks like it was just created on Monday of this week.
Any of you guys heard of Pi ? A few of us in work have downloaded it. Interested in the opinion of those who know about these things!
Website is here minepi.com and the concept is that mobile...

Another happy Bergeon user here - I got a single screwdriver with a few spare tips. Brilliant build quality that bites cleanly in the screw heads unlike with cheaper drivers.
Yeah... Name and shame so I'm not tarred with THAT brush!
Buyer couldn't afford your watch and shouldn't have p***ed you about like that.
Insure it with a proper service like Secursus and there's no problem with special delivery to/from NI.
You had...
The last 2 times I've added ram to a laptop, you wouldn't notice a difference.
SSD on the other hand.... Worth every penny and has revived fresh life into a couple of older HPs that I use.
I was excited when the new MS Flight Sim was launched - downloaded it (thanks to my son's XBOX subscription.. it was free) and... NO! Hardware fail! You need a fairly hefty spec PC for this.
I've...
Escapement work continues... the top and bottom cages are done. About 6 hours of printing for these 3 sets and I'm pleased with the results. Had to increase temp to 230C at the hot end and 80C on the...
At last... Hearst came good today with a Sub cover.
Cancelled with Newsstand and let the money sit for a pre order for the next one.
... and then there were three!

Post #25 above - I have a video of it running. Stick headphones in and that gives you a fairly accurate idea of the noise. 2 x PC sized fans are inside the print head and I can hear 1 or 2 large fans...
The fans are noisy - mine's in the study upstairs and runs without being heard elsewhere in the house though. There is also a slight whiff of molten plastic whilst printing but only in the room...
When you consider that the base printer is around £200, its brilliant really. That's done with a 0.4mm head. Once I switch to 0.2mm for the escapement parts, it'll be interesting to see how the parts...
I've been filing and edge cleaning. This came up really well. I can see a few bits in these 2 pics that need a touch but I'll continue cleaning it up here and there.
...
That's some serious upgrades! Post up a pic - I'd love to see that. One thing I want to do to mine is relocate the filament spindle. Its in a bad position up there and really needs some kind of...
Well, my first big challenge is completed! A finished backplate for the clock:

Print quality turned out really well. The stacked...
I'm finding this rather therapeutic to watch (now I'm over the frustrations of getting it all to work!!!)
