Based on a sample of one, I'd agree with that.
If you're intending to wear these in Qatar I would have thought the significant question would be about how they insulate heat. I have a pair of Cheaney desert boots and the answer is a very thick...

Not great but alright if the price is right - meaning £50-60. I have a pair with Vibram-like soles that normally come out when it's snowing and they're fine for that - their purchase was forced on me...
