Make sure you test drive it first. The turning circle is awful.
I'm in the middle of an extension project to the house and I need to source a new water softener. I'm a bit lost in terms of what to get.
Has anyone got any hints, tips or recommendation?
It was a watch I thought I would never sell but it had no sentimental value to me and I thought I can always buy another Sub.
I felt I made the right decision when I saw Keith's son"s reaction,...
I'm the current owner of the Sub!!
Keith (AKA Carlyrox) is a great TZ'er and has not put any pressure on me..... but he is obviously keen to buy it. I have no sentimental attachment to watch but...
Hi Keith,
I have this Sub!
I purchased it off another forum member back in early 2019.
Since your ownership it's had another Rolex service and a bezel replacement. Don't worry...... I...
Agreed........ However, Watchfinder have a loose sevice dial one for 10.5k!!!! I known WF are expsinsive but it might be worth trying to find an an original dial for the one I've been offered.
Seems like the one I've been offered is a good price even with the service dial.
Do 16550's go for a significant premium compared to a 16570?
I've seen one offered for £7.5k but unfortunately it has a service dial.
That's exactly my plan.....it can be changed over fairly cheaply and I get to keep the origional dial!
Mine arrived yesterday in mint condition........ and with the rights hands!!
I followed some advice on tz and bought these screwdrivers:

I would recommend them.

I normally use a hair dryer..... works a treat!
Did you heat up the link before your tried to unscrew it?
Well as luck would have it a TZ'er had a white dial and hand set! Which I purchased today and it's making its way to me this week.
I forgot about the hands!! That might make this idea too expensive.
The watch is in great condition and running perfectly, so wouldn't need a service.
I have a very nice 16570 with the black dial. To change things about a bit, I was thinking about buying a white dial and changing it over.
What's the best way to do this? I'm guessing Rolex...
Some absolutely amazing lists..... so many brands I've never heard off.
My list seems a little boring
- Omega
- Breitling
- Seiko
- Rolex
- Tudor
I've not seen one of the new Sub in flesh....... but from what I've read is does sound more in line with the 14060.
Hopfully one day I will get call from the AD!!
I've had both and the 2 liner left me wanting.
So I sold it and paid a 1.3k pemium for a 4 liner.
It was my best watch decision, as its my favourite watch and one (I hopfully) will never sell.
Me to...... I’m kind of getting bored of Lewis.
It would have been great to see George have another go!
