Are the tkmaxx ones good or some budget version made overseas? I’m tempted with a pair and haven’t tried Trickers before, I’ve got Loake 1880 and Cheaney.
How do they compare to my Loake Heston? Do they come in an F fitting as I've found that the best fit for me?
And I thought I had a lot of Loakes, I've only got 5 pairs but I think I've got most bases covered with tan brogues, brown suede brogues, sand suede chukka, dark brown Oxford boot and tan brogue...
But if brown suede action!

Get the red laces on quick smart!!
This, got three pairs and they're not far off the quality of my Loake tree but half the price. Plus they often have 10%/£10 off vouchers.
Left over fabric?! 😜
Nice! Same with Loake, I'm a 9 normally but my Wharfdales are a 7.5! All my other Loakes are 8 (I wish people would stop putting links to debenhams sale, I've bought three pairs in as many months 😳)
Nice choice Paul, and thanks for starting this, really helped me in my own search for a cheaper alternative to Crockett & Jones :o)
Their G's Paul. Really liking them, really well made and extremely comfortable.
And a gratuitous foot shot!

Just picked up a pair of Loake Wharfdales, really impressed with them, though I'm yet to break them in outside!
...
This is where I'm leaning. Having never looked at Loake before, can anyone tell me if these ever go on sale? Trying to weigh up if its worth waiting till xmas. Cheers.
Has anyone tried these http://www.loake.co.uk/bedale.html I'm looking for an alternative to the Crockett Islay boots.
