1972 (I think) Pogue although purchased in 1974 by my father. A few marks and scratched crystal but totally original as far as I know.

Still runs nicely and barely if ever been serviced. ...

I’m in the market for a Seiko diver at the moment, generally been looking at the Sumo and MM200 but that has made the idea of modding an SKX look very appealing.

I quite like the turtle but it’s a matter of working out if I’d rather pay a bit more for one of the others. Some of the older sumo models can be had for about turtle...

Sounds interesting and you definitely don’t get any impression of the texture in photos, I will have to try and see one for real.
