Yep, was thinking the same and I'd rather have the Hamilton version to be honest. I think that's where Bremont struggle because they've got no history. Hamilton can just reissue the pilot pioneer and...

Yep, I've been through many models of both brands. Quality is excellent on either...just a matter of personal preference on the brand.
Yes, I'm struggling to see any appeal with that particular model, particularly when it's £2500.
Agree. If you search Carrera on SC, some lovely examples of Tag reissues have come and gone in the £2-3k range.
I think I did the same too...went through nearly every sports model and eventually ended up with a DJ41. I had one on an oyster bracelet with smooth bezel but should have gone for jubilee and fluted...
I couldn't even stand this guy when he was talking about watches.
Much of this is location based. Even though I live in a nicer area of Greater London, the number of car thefts is ridiculous. Only the other week, my CCTV caught two scumbags hiding behind the hedge...
I lasted 30 seconds before having to quit because of the cuts. It's the kind of production that is fine for a 10 second advert such as when Toyota sponsors a Channel 4 programme...but 17 minutes?!

Agree, which is why it would be unfair if insurance companies put a premium on it purely down to higher absolute numbers of theft.
I read somewhere that with the discontinuation of the Fiesta, they are sought for parts.
I suspect in absolute numbers, the Fiesta is right up there as one of the most stolen in Britain, but that...
I think all that does come into play, but vehicle make model is factored in heavily. My postcode is always more expensive being Greater London...Fiesta worth about £5k was coming out at £1400 to...
Sums it up for me. Never questioned the quality but found the marketing a complete turn off.
Also wasn't that impressed when I went into the Mayfair boutique and saw some of the watches stuck on...
I was lookinh at the Carrera range and thought they looked very nice watches. I think the marketing was great too. Bit pricey for me though...not sure I could get my head round paying £6k for a Tag.
Obviously a lot lot nicer, but my first thought was it reminded me of my old Swatch Irony Auto "Body and Soul"...used to love that watch when I was in my teens! As a consequence, this appeals...love...
Interesting, thanks for the insight. I guess watchmaking like that only works financially when you customer base is willing to pay the premium for the notion of proper old-school watchmaking. I'm...
I definitely think it is expensive, especially when my new car is worth 5x the value and is costing the same. I did a thorough check across the comparison sites and that was the best I could get from...
I don't know why they make it so complicated...when I started this thread, I was reinsuring our Ford Fiesta (16 years NCD, no points, no accidents). Most of the major insurers wanted an eye watering...
Used to be with ManyPets for tne first couple of years after getting a puppy. They were fantastic but the renewal for year 3 was a bit pricey so switched to Waggel. I find the most useful feature of...
Thanks all...looks good...think I'll be buying the staib/Geckota!
Linked to my other thread on bracelets, I’m not sure I can stomach AD pricing for a bracelet so I’m considering the non-OEM options. Any recommendations for a good quality mesh bracelet? I’d be after...
Yes, very wise way of spinning it!
Thanks all…yeah, that’s what my suspicions were…I just couldn’t understand how they got away with selling them at close to real prices and also why so many satisfied customers. I guess particularly...
Quite a few times, I've bought secondhand watches on straps that I would prefer on the OEM bracelet and as we all know, bracelets from Omega, Breitling etc can be hideously expensive! Looking for a...
Can't really blame them. Through savvy marketing they build a brand with no history at all that put them in the same segment as Omega, Breitling etc, with boutiques in many major cities. I guess they...
I'm a fan of Breitling. Although I think Breitling hit the sweet spot with earlier designs of the SO, I don't hate the current 42mm version...it's just big and bold. I do prefer the Heritage versions...
