I've seen GSTP used when referring to commercial revolvers issued in wartime.

When I read that reference GSTP stood for General Service Temporary Pattern.

I would say the same applies to any piece of commercial kit pressed into service due to wartime needs.

    Kind regards...

Yeah, I served in the Regular Army AND was issued a watch!

But that was a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away! Or at least it feels that way nowadays.

When I was in the army you needed to have dirt or at least in appropriate pictures of the OC...

You're spot on 'two-dads', Thomas Heydolf in Hamburg is the man.

Nice set above too. What's the story with the grey bund strap? I've never seen one. Is it issue or commercial?

After buying many 'authentic' bund straps over the years I've found the Eulit Bund...

  16. Hi Andy, I don't think the Aussie Lemanias were RAAF issue

They are far more likely to be RAN issue. I'm not aware of any RAAF issue Chronographs. The RAN however did issue Chronographs.

I have spoken to several ex RAAF Navigators and none has seen a...
