I like the sentiment, but why mark your watches as 'Great Britain' in the same place as most companies place the country of a manufacture then?
Also, by your own logic your watches aren't made in...
Great watch, would love to have one in the future.
Have you created a company to run the Sewills business then (or perhaps Timefactors is trading as Sewills watch company)?
Would another company not simply outsource to Germany or Switzerland like...
Got mine today, interesting how they denote the 2009 8500 as the 8500a. Makes sense given the Si-14 mainspring and hairsprings used now.
ROTFL!
A seriously nice watch Walter, how does it wear compared to the Sinn 757?
Case tech certainly, but finishing?....

Quartz for me, for the first time in years! HAGWE all! :)
I have the Bregeon one as it works well, but isn't cheap!
Fair enough!
That's what I said, wasn't it?
The 40% is standard for any AD, I don't know this is the markup for Bremont. Regarding DIN, Damaskos were never certified to anything, although they are regulated.
I'm talking about the price increase on the AT 8500 ;)
Sad you think like that as I've bought a few fairly priced watches through that route.
Check the Damasko website regarding their view of the Sinn techniques. Sinns are great watches, with many useful technical tweaks, and older Damaskos are worth it as well.
Personally, I've looked...
Cheers,
I didn't mean that the 2541 was demanding more money than the 2221, i meant that for a much improved watch that the 2221 isn't that much more.
Thanks again, does the second hand align perfectly on these?
The key thing with 'value brands' is that basing an agument on 'look what's in it therefore you must be getting a bargain' isn't something that interests me. I like the SB GMT because I like the...
It's true if you're just looking at these being a watch, but if the testing and britishness of these (and looks) appeal then it's worth it. I'd agree with you more if you're getting an older...
Sorry these statements aren't exactly correct; I'm pretty sure that Sinn and Bremont use a kloisterising technique which bombards the surface of the case with carbon and hardens the case. ...
Damaskos have never been chronometer certified, they used to use top grade movements, but that changed to standard and/or elabore movements ages ago. The differences in costs are:
-40% AD 'tax'...
Totally agree
Indeed, personally the DA46/7 is a worthwhile alternative to the MB2. I still have the MB2, as I identify with the brand and the UK manufacture, but would buy another Damasko at some point.
I love that! :)
