Wow, lovely watches and photography!
PD sells leather straps and titanium bracelets that fit those cases. IMO the bracelets are really sharp looking.
You’ve got some bright ones. Is the 2nd watch from the left, top row, 1st photo a vintage perhaps? Looks pale compared to the others!
It's not for me but I appreciate the forward-looking design. Much better-looking than most skeletonized watches IMO.
I prefer the Pepsi. I really only like the BLNR in bright light, in darker settings the entire bezel as well as the GMT hand appear black.
I find them to be pretty much on par with JLC and probably even a touch in front in terms of the designs of their sportier models.
I'm all for narrowing the window between revealing novelties and then actually having them ready for sale. The prevailing practice is a remnant of the decades-old model that was oriented around the...
I think the answer varies depending on the market. Where I live I rarely see someone else with any mechanical watch, and when I do it's usually a Rolex Sub. When I travel I see much more variety....
Going by my preference white > blue > grey. But, I think for the right discount I'd get the blue.
Bummer. Was there a sudden impact/drop, or did it just seize up?
I agree, I am continually surprised that every new generation of the SMP retains the same bezel design.
By the time you finished typing there were probably more variants announced!
With my Seiko divers I also have noticed that if I don't wear them for a while that first day back on the wrist is the worst but if I keep it on for several days it seems to improve each day for a...
I have purchased a number of these vintage-style racing straps over the years: http://www.heuertime.com/index.php?lang=eng&p=sale&sub=sale_detail&pID=134&cat=strap%20bracelet
They are a great...
Same with me!
My recollection is that the dials were the same, but those watches are pretty old now so my memory might be incorrect. My suggestion would be to reach out to an Omega Boutique or a watchmaker with a...
43.5 mm doesn't appear to big on paper but their case design makes their watches feel thicker bigger and thicker. I'd really like this design in a slimmer package.
I owned a FOIS and it was great except it looks a bit too sterile...it is an homage to a 2998 but if you look at enough actual 2998s the FOIS starts to look "wrong". The lume is too white, the...
The beauty is that there is no one answer. From a functionality/technical standpoint, I guess you can make arguments about which movement is superior to another, but they are all inferior timekeepers...
Thank you for mentioning this! I noticed it when I first saw it in August, and when I rewatched it last week. I was racking my brain trying to think what watch it could be that existed in 1969.
Not sure if they sold out or not, but I know the demand for the Seamaster and Railmaster was not as high as the initial demand for the Speedmaster, so it is possible there is still unsold stock. I...
I like it by the looks, but I doubt I would wear something that big - I suppose that makes me faint hearted. Not that anyone is clamoring to remake the cal. 11, but I think it is strange to call it...
Nice write up! Those each among the best either brand produced.
As others have pointed out, it all depends. What brand? Is it a limited edition? How old is the watch?
+1. All the good stuff of the modern Rolex without the glossy ceramic.
