If you're going to pull the crown and stop the watch, why not buy the automatic version? One of the primary benefits of a quartz is that it's always "ready to go".

I really don't have any empirical evidence on the supposed improvements in isochronism with the co-axial escapement. I reset mine every month or so, when usually it's a minute or two off.

Bingo. The time is irrelevant, what matters is whether or not the food is correctly cooked.

I don't have a photo handy, but my wife now drives my Jaguar Vanden Plas, what would be a Daimler in the UK. It's black too, as was the XJ6 I had before that! Didn't set out to buy black cars, just...
You know you've found a true grail watch when you don't wear anything else. In the 5 months since acquiring this it has been off my wrist only twice: once for a chrono when at the race track, once...
Not as new or fancy as HM's, but it is mine 8)

No, you don't want to know what it gets to the gallon!

Another postive vote for the TomTom Go units. I've got the 700 model, which (here) comes preloaded with the entire US and Canada maps.
I've used it throughout WA, British Columbia, Arizona,...
Same as it ever was.

Just another vote for a large enough crown, I too feel that both Speedbird II and PRS-14 have crowns that are too small.

Very Nomos-esque, not a bad thing.

The yellow hands are the business.
Re-reading the manual I notice that it has a split timing feature too, great for lap times at the track! Combine that with a date, independantly settable hour...
Makes my eyes cross.

The movement appears to have a date wheel, but I'm assuming that this version wouldn't include it.
Kevin
I believe the "pointer" hand is the 60 minute timer, the other hand is the second timer. Dials show 1/10ths timer, constant seconds and hour timer.
It's the same movement in the Chase-Durer...
Ah yes, but the one on the left has a wonky 6 :D
Kevin
Don't feel odd, I agree completely! For some reason I like this case much better as a chrono than did without the pushers.
Really rather nice looking.

No arguments from me ;-)
