First picture yes. Second picture - no and I would be after the person who so hideously vandalised it with a meat cleaver.

    Poll: View Post

Seiko make very nice watches but how ever good they are, they are unlikely to last as well as a Rolex or JLC and if you are spending 4K, you are wearing your watch as a statement.
    If it says to...

    "Clothes maketh the man".
    Not Adam they didn't.
If you wear sufficient cover to keep you out of jail, a vintage Omega, Longines or JLC is all the dress code you need.

Re: Best pound for pound watch

Although I wear a vintage JLC much of the time, the best watch pound for pound is the classic Casio digital. Back in fashion and £8.99 at Argos.

Re: Always had my doubts about Seiko wearers

Oh, famed Brough Superior rider Lawrence of Arabia was an agent provocateur; a terrorist, a national socialist, homosexual. Does it affect the qualities of his bikes in ány way? He probably carried a...

    Re: Sales Corner

I don't understand why people flip these high end watches. I've only ever sold a couple in order to buy a grail but If you sell because you need the money, what were you doing buying in the first...

    Re: Am i being picky?

Request an explanation. If there was the need to replace a non service part costing £10, then the guy may be doing you a favour. Many Omega parts, for example have gone up 2-300% recently.

Their taste. Not yours. Their watch. Likewise. I've seen watches that I thought were improved by bead blasting and it can give a new lease of life to a tatty diver beater.

Re: Always had my doubts about Seiko wearers

Omega bases its marketing on the fact that one of its "ambassadors" is the world's most famous serial killer.
If Mengeler wore a Seiko, it was post WW2, I expect. He may also have worn black shoes.

No provenance at all? That isn't incomplete.
That's fishy. Don't touch it. Other than the oft faked watch, there is NOTHING to give it authenticity. The lack of original straps is the giveaway. Were...
