I think the blue one is lapis lazuli....
Nearly 3 years later....and I've just managed to snag these two from Italy....clearly closely related to my Zenith Electronic Stardust above.
Wish I could find out more about all three...time to...
Hello Matt,
Thanks for the email...which I've just replied to....and sorry for the delay which is due to a number of things including: illness after Xmas, house move and everybody wanting their...

And Cousins have them for £714.55 + postage + 20% VAT :mad-new:
Got to be these two at the moment:

No case refinishing....just the original Omega finish.
Dave,
I decided not to use the non-Omega crystal + black tacky ring in the empty case photos at the top --- I think this crystal is for the B&M Tronosonic Chrono and no idea how it ended up in a...
Back in February, I finally collected all the parts to build myself two new-old-stock Omega f300 Speedsonics  ... and a few days ago, I finally finished building them (it's not really...

Well, I've emailed him....but out of the office until 12th.
Looks like I might be buying some of my Omega parts from Germany as long as the order is big enough.

Has anyone emailed Anthony Cousins concerning these Omega price rises? I was planning on doing so on Monday morning.

The bezel is also anti-clockwise in this advert!
The back of the advert brings back a few memories of 8 track and reel-to-reel tapes...and record clubs:

I'm not so sure....I knew I had these adverts somewhere so have scanned them. Originally from 1971 US copy of Playboy:

I think they were for different markets: US was one, Europe the other....but I forget which way round it was!
Ha ha....you've reminded me that I have a few Universal Geneve hummers, but this one is my favourite --- the Buzzsaw!

I'm very fond of my 1972 Bulova Accutron 2182 Deep Sea / Snorkel and it is probably the hummer I wear the most. And as I like it so much, I've just bought the modern Accutron II Precisionist...
I guess it depends on what you're comparing it against. An ESA 9162/4 movement (as in Omega f300 etc) on a good quality silver oxide 344 should last at least a year and I've had many lasting closer...

I was using a different URL which they must have retired: http://www.omegawatches.com/spirit/history/vintage-omegas/vintage-watches-database

I used it a couple of weeks ago but now it just re-directs to Omega's home page.
Has it gone? Permanently? I hope this isn't a precursor to them stopping spare part supplies to the independent...
I can't...at least not for a £6 Omega screw. And it seems the manufacturers are no better if Cousins are unable to pass the faulty item back up the chain. In the case of a screw without a thread,...
