Looking to pick the forum's brains on this one. Been racking my brains for a wedding present for my brother and his wife. It needs to be something small (no space at home for white goods!) so I...
Good thread for those of us learning SC ettiquette. Ill consider myself warned. :D
Thanks lads - these are all great suggestions.
Looking to pick all the fine brains on here to recommend me a holiday watch.
Ive had a look through previous posts on this and there are some great ideas but they're all very expensive.
I have...
I noticed these have gone up on the Stowa site. Cant seem to post the picture this size but the link is here:

Thanks lads - glad to see some other people like the logo option too. I think I might get order that one soon.
Any of you who have one have any views on the options as regards the crown/caseback?...
Hi all,
Im looking to start into this watch buying business and Ive decided after much browsing to go for a Stowa Flieger (right size for me, build quality, etc).
But which one? I was...
Slightly impressed? They're some high standards - he's just been out of this world this season. World's best player by a mile.
Nice combination of classic car styling and chrono there. Enough to be different without trying too hard. Doesnt seem to be any word on price yet though?
Thanks crazyp - Ill make sure to pay it a visit. Im really looking forward to electronics shopping in Tokyo. Lots of cool stuff we cant get here apparently.
Will do.
Although Ill have to save for the watches as well so it might be a while.
Yeah, I have one of the older JTD models and its been a pleasure to drive. I bought it about a year ago from an Alfahead in the UK so it had been very well looked after and had had all the possible...
That's fascinating stuff mate - always more to learn about watches.
That looks great mate thanks - ticks exactly the boxes I was looking for. Now to start saving.
Sennheiser have never let me down for build or audio quality on any of their products from basic portables to higher end closed cans for home. The HD 380's I have are fantastic - higlhy recommended.

Quality.
I agree with this. There's not much point keeping the third with the IWC as they're similar enough that keeping one of the others would give you more variation in terms of watches for every occasion.
Now you warn us! I can see this board is going to be bad for my wallet. And I dont even have access to the sales corner yet.
€3,000. Ouch. Beautiful piece though.
I might be heading to Japan soon enough and, conveniently, Im also thinking of getting myself a new camera. Ive always been used to compacts but I do like taking photos so Im thinking of maybe...
I don't know but I'm glad you did!
It, and a couple of friends, say hello

Really beautiful watches there. Wish I could afford an IWC, they really are very classy.
Best of luck with it mate. My mother-in-law worked in adoption services here in Ireland and the majority of adoptive parents find it a very worthwhile experience.
One thing to bear in mind though...
That's gorgeous. I want one!
Im starting to learn that you can never have enough watches. And that you never have enough cash.
