Appears to be legit. I spoke to WoS Broadgate circle and they asked to see my ID before putting me on a list.
The Goldsmiths of Chelmsford DayDates and Explorer aren't selling (it's no surprise). I think we will start to see a lot of solid gold watches going through auction etc as below retail.
...
Not entirely unheard of...

Agreed - I don't see who will be buying solid gold watches full stop, let alone to flip as rates rise.
Come winter I fully expect every AD will have DayDates and SkyDwellers languishing in...
Goldsmiths of Chelmsford have (as of this lunch time) two 40mm DayDates (YG with diamond bezel, and WG with fluted bezel), a ladies steel DateJust and a bi-metal Explorer available at retail.

All the Rolex dealers are being incredibly difficult.
But, in their defence they have nothing to sell, and for staff who work on a commission that must be really cra**y.
WoS told me they simply aren't putting anyone on the Daytona waiting lists. They might take your name and address, but they aren't sending your name to head office for an allocation.
You won't...
Supply and demand have been very fickle lately, but supply is slowly returning.
WoS Regent Street now have ladies DateJust's for sale in the cabinet, although all the mens stuff is still...
I think Rolex are well aware they're struggling with production; pulling people in to a store is useless if they don't / can't buy your product.
Covid and factory closures have left them a long...
That would explain it.
I know, it's very sad actually.
I've never felt as distant from the brand as I currently do now. Certainly paying more attention to other companies nowadays.
Oh, and speaking of Rolex...
No idea but I went in to WoS Broadgate Circle, London, and as per usual all watches were exhibition only. However all the ones I held were legit with working movements.
I'm not sure there would...
They're real, with real movements.
WoS Broadgate had all of their window models running and were letting people try them on. 100% real, just no supply.
As has been said 1 million times, no watches in windows, sometimes a few display only watches. Really off putting.
I went into Goldsmiths earlier this year to buy a DayDate and they wouldn't...
Talking of the Milgauss GV is always an opportunity for me to post this:

Yes it is Carrs. To be fair I think their prices are reflective of where the grey market is at.
Not photos from an AD, but a benchmark of used sports watch prices in central London.

Starting to feel a bit toppy for a no date watch given what the competition is offering.
Mrs took this photo in London the other day - plenty of Milgauss' available.
