I've said this before: the BB58 looks like a 4-digit Sub, wears like a 5-digit Sub with its solid endlinks, and has the tech and refinement of a 6-digit modern watch. I have long loved the big crown...
Had an 001 I really enjoyed, but while I like the idea of the hand-applied lume in concept, it annoyed me in real life. I now have an 017. It's really an overall lovely thing. Just looks so good,...
The U1 Professional was an LE of 100 for the NA market a few years back. Was actually designed with input from a friend of mine. This is hands down my favorite iteration of the U1, bar none. No...
A friend of mine did this a few years back to his 116600. Can't recall who did the work, but possibly LA Watchworks. It's incredible in pictures, and even better in real life. Probably the only...
I've always been a watch guy. When I was a kid in the '80s, it was digital sports watches, and then Swatches. Didn't wear a watch in college, but then the bug hit me in a big way. Bought a quartz...
Congratulations, it's a favorite of mine since mine arrived in July. The lugs are 20 mm, though.
16600 (my favorite watch of all time), followed closely by the 116600. Don't much care for the other two.
This takes what has become an iconic modern dive watch and improves on it in many ways. Domed crystal, improved lume, no-date dial, and the dial changes pushed this onto my wrist.
It took me while to realize I really wanted one of these more than I wanted a 5513.

Happy New Year!

Anything but the 14060. Not a high point in Rolex history, IMO. I'd always pick an 16610 LV or a true vintage over it. If you must have a 5-digit Rolex, for me it would be the LV or a 16600.
Just took this shot, and it sums up all the reasons I love this reference, and mine in particular. Domed plexi, matte dial, eggshell patina, chunky yet elegant case, rattly yet ultra-comfortable 9315...
I think it wears noticeably smaller, actually.

As the years go by for me in this crazy hobby, I've realized that this is what I like best:

I absolutely love both of them. My favorite current gen and last gen Rolex sport watches. The 16600 is my favorite of the two, just by a little, because it's simply a more versatile watch (a tad...
I find it amusing that most Bremont threads on this forum are full of derision, whereas us dumb Americans can't seem to get enough of the brand.
Yep, not too difficult with the hex wrenches.
The brand provokes plenty of negativity, especially on this forum, but I find the watches excellent, and the people behind the brand even better.
Damn. And if anyone needs convincing that the FF Sport is the most beautiful modern diver, just direct them to this thread.
The Sea-Dwellers, in all incarnations, are simply superb. The 16600 and the 114060 are the best modern Rolex divers IMO.

Just don't get the Bremont hate around here. True, I don't like every piece the English brothers make, but I feel that way about every other brand.
Couldn't agree more. I might, and I say might, love my 114060 more than my 16600 and all the vintage Rolex and Tudor Subs I've ever worn. Not only are the upgrades superb, the watch just works on...
absolutely beautiful!
there is something about these vintage dive straps...and of course those watches aren't bad, not at all.
