I pretty much keep all mine (as I have the space) and usually keep the spare bracelet links when I size the watch, plus it's good if I move the piece along....the next owner gets the full package, so...

If you don't want to pay the high price tag, you could always try the cheap version from Baltany for a fraction of the price....I have four of their pieces and they are well made for the price point....

This piece looks to have been issued in 1976 (or 78) a bit difficult to tell from the case back photo, fits within your service period.
