Just enjoyed a large glass of 18 year old Glen Moray. Absolutely gorgeous but, alas, all gone! Need to add to the shopping list.

Just enjoying a wee dram of Torabhaig Allt Gleann. 46% ABV Skye whisky.
Very smooth, lots of toffee, honey and smoke. A very agreeable drop that doesn't need, (or improve), with water.
That Cotswold whisky is a rather nice dram. I did the distillery tour last year and brought a couple of bottles back with me. Their Gins are rather nice too and they are in the process of are...
Thought I might as well give this one a try. Thanks for the tip-off.
Just bought a bottle of Balvenie Caribbean Cask. 43%. Interesting and complex at first tasting, but even at 43% it improves with a splash of water.
Popped back myself today to get another one and yes, it's back up to £40 so I passed.
The Aberfeldy 12yo was down to £25 though, as was the Bowmore 12yo so I picked up one of each along with a...
Yes, in store.
Tesco currently selling Glenfiddich 15 year old Solara Cask for £25. Bargain!
Just enjoying a wee dram of 15yo Glenfiddich Solera. Not bad at all for a mainstream, nicely sherried, quite smooth. Notes of apple, apricot and elderflower. Typical Glenfiddich flavours on the...
Glen Moray Elgin Classic is quite good, in spite of its low price, £20 to £22 in most supermarkets. If you can find it then Aldi's Glen Marnoch Rum Cask Finish Edition Highland Single Malt is...
Yes, an Oloroso cask, and as you say, a sherry monster plus some. Of all the drams we sampled the one that stood out, (apart from the cask strength and the late evening 'specials'), was the Three...
Thanks Bob, and yes, a really fantastic visit. Loved every minute.
One of the presents for my 70th Birthday was a tour of the Auchentoshan Distillery to include a private bottling.
My youngest son, who was accompanying me, had told them in advance that it was...
My youngest son lives in Edinburgh so he's the member. We always end up in the vaults whenever we visit and I always end up bringing a few bottles back with me - after some judicial sampling of...
Just enjoing a nice dram of cask strength 21 year old Glen Scotia. A rather exquisite Campbeltown from the SMWS. :eagerness:
Thanks for the offer, but I think Lynn would be most unhappy if I started to collect empty bottles too :unconscious: The Bunnahabhain will probably get opened on a 'special occasion' as will the...
Not speculating, just a collectors item amongst other collectables. Not like it's going to get any worse either. :devilish:
Oh, and Amazon have the Glen Garioch 12yo on offer for £30.10p for a litre bottle with free delivery.

Good choice, it is excellent, cask strength and sooooooooo smoky. :eagerness: The Bunnahabhain grain whisky is rather special too, though my bottle remains unopened as it's a first release bottle...
I'll be tasting a few of these this evening

The SMWS ones are rather special. :eagerness:
SOTC....

Bought a bottle of the Benromach Peat Smoke today at the Highland Show in Edinburgh.
Sampled a whole host of whiskeys and this plus the Tomartan 18 year old were the standouts.
Very smokey...
Nope, only bought from sites such as the one above. Too busy drinking the stuff to sell it :loyal:
There's always SC on here if you've some to sell.
Not one, but two rather large glasses of Glen Moray Classic tonight.
One of my all time favourite 'session' whiskeys. This is a light relaxed whiskey. Notes of vanilla and fudge on the nose...
Sadly, not near York so have to make a special trip. Will bear it in mind next time we drive there, thanks.
