If you don't want to pay the high price tag, you could always try the cheap version from Baltany for a fraction of the price....I have four of their pieces and they are well made for the price point....
Apart from the handset, it's identical to the BENRUS Type I including the bezel markings...
This piece looks to have been issued in 1976 (or 78) a bit difficult to tell from the case back photo, fits within your service period.

My Omega SM 300m co-axil falls into this category, I rarely wear it in fact, I probably haven't worn it in the last 5 years (had the piece much longer) but would never sell it as it was a wedding...
After reading through the thread and looking at the renders, for me personally I prefer the watch head with the crown guards and also a case of 36mm instead of the proposed 38mm.
The Honeycomb does look good however, I still prefer it on the Oyster style bracelet but each to their own as they say...
