It’s a crap picture but the bike is pale blue. I think they had too many baja orange bikes (a matt colour that didn’t suit the Speed Twin imo) so they customised a couple.
I think this is the blue...
Collected the new steed yesterday. Delighted with it:

Yeah, much better.
Yeah, that, and the fact that for me it is a 17 minute journey from home. :)
Thanks
And thanks again.
In their defence, they also have/had a custom blue one for sale...
From November 2023...
I ended up with the R1250RS, which, as you good chaps noted at the time, worked out a bit similar to my GS. It's a great bike but... I kind of regretted not jumping in...
I have only 2 bikes but I decided to insure them separately as it seems to offer more flexibility, more opportunities to build NCD, and barely cost any more money.
I have chopped and changed...
I had mine done back in 2013/14, at around age 53. I'd had decent eyesight but found myself needing reading glasses more and more - to the point that I couldn't easily read the car instruments or...
Bloody hell. Definitely time for making the most of round two now!
Looking forward to meeting up at Hardknott Pass - which will be a piece of cake after what you've been through!
That would be a great pair of bikes.
Yeah, looking great, Enoch - although a little uncomfortable.

I used Conti Trail Attack 3's on my last GS, and I'm about to swap to them again. They are great - but I don't really go off road.

^^^ Both bikes will be easy to ride and will handle everything you can throw at them on road. I reckon the 500X will be more comfortable for longer rides, due to the more upright position and better...
I was in Whitchurch this morning - so pretty close by.
I have a set and they are great. They get a lot of use in the English summer - and also during my tour to Austria earlier this year - where it rained every day!
Lovely day for it, today, although the roads were a bit mucky...

Sounds like you are enjoying the freedom of your new mode of transport.
Yeah, I was surprised at their pricing, but happy to take the deal.
As for your last point, I knew there was a way forward, so thanks.
