Lots of modern quartz watches use lithium batteries that have a ten year battery life. My old prs18Q is from 2011 and still on its first battery.
Yes, its a NOS CW one. I think they might have been indian made, you certainly see alot of them on West End Watch co watches.
I think i might ask santa for one of the new Joseph Bonnie bonklips for...
I am a very, very, very happy camper. Serial number ends in my boats/cars racing number as well, which is nice. Lucky 13. https://i.imgur.com/t1VNYiG.jpgMaybe I’ll win something next season if I’m...

Ive been wearin my speedbird in a failing attempt to persuade myself that i have enough pilot watches..... yeah im in!
Oh but i like that... short lugs is one of my pet peeves on the speedbird. Im looking forward to the Navigator for just that reason... horses for courses.
Its a NOS 16mm one. I think its made by ‘CW’. It hasnt got the clever locking clasp design of a true Bonklip, its got the cheaper link displacement version. I think i got it for 20£ on ebay a year or...

That one totally works for me.
I agree. 1940s design.
I also look to history for the justification for boobies->
The first smiths mil watches beig the 1940s mkX design was sterile. NO branding at all.
then in the 1950s the...

Youcan see the dish. So the movement sits slightly ‘inside’ the dial as it...
One other difference between the original and eddies as far as i can tell on my examples is that the originals have a ‘dished’ dial whereas eddies are flat.
Please please please please please please please can we have a TF Bonklip? ;c)
Im guessing that seeing as Eddie’s bought a pukka mk11 in order to get the case right, then the case will be pretty much externally identical to a mk11.
It is regarded as an all time icon of...
Boobies and de luxe but no circle L or pheon?
The render with the smiths de luxe coronet looks ace. Cheers eddie! That one please....

I think sellita do a bi-Compax handwinder as well nowadays- although it might be a mono pusher I think.
I’ve got one of Ewan’s newmarks with the meca-quartz movement. It’s a great watch, but I do...
It’s a precista branded Gallet Multichron 45. Early Valjoux 7730 and a 36mm stainless screwback case. It’s always been a bit of a personal fave.
How about reissuing this little 1960s beauty? ;c)https://i.imgur.com/IXMdLwt.jpg
