I think that attitude almost comes with the mindset - not that I'm condoning or approving it, just that I think I can understand it; imagine how focused and strong willed you would have to be to do,...
Watches Nyad on Netflix the other day - true story about Diana Nyad with Annette Benning in the title role and Jodie Foster.
I had never even heard of her before TBH - what an amazing women.

JW1 was and still remains (IMHO) one of the best action movies; simple story line, good-enough acting and brilliant, brilliant action sequences. Every sequel has tried to out-action the previous one...
Saw JW4 last night - have to agree. Wish they put a little bit more story and dialogue in, rather than the nonstop action sequences - it all got a bit same'ol, same'ol after the first 2 hrs.
Watched the new Luther film on Netflix last night - if you liked the series, you'll probably like the film.

We watched The Women in the Window last night - not bad, probably 6/10(?)
Apologies - only just seen your comment; yes, it's the 2011 Ryan Gosling film, directed by Nicolas Winding Refn.
Rewatched Drive for the upteenth time.
Watched the The Gray Man yesterday on Netflix - A Ryan Gosling / Chris Evans vehicle. Totally OTT but good for some "brain out" fun.
I think I gave up on F&F films around #5.
Not really sure how they managed to keep the franchise going this long and why (quite a lot of) people seem to be hooked on it.
Yes it's an action...
Watched Bad Samaritan on Prime last night. It's stars David Tennant and Robert Sheehan (from The Misfits), overall not bad and quite creepy in places.
Also watched Snyder's Justice League over the weekend - much better than the original, though as mentioned it's loonnnnngggggggggggg - so ended up watching it over 2 nights.
I found the 4:3...
Rewatched "The Untouchables" last night for the upteenth time, joined by the whole family - one of my favourite films.
Going to give "The Godfather" the same treatment tonight. Need to get the...
Already mentioned many times before but I watched 1917 on Prime Video last night.
I found it quite an experience - visually very different from any film I've seen before and a great story.
Watched it last night - good film. Unbelievable level of political corruption.
Watched Calvery with Brendon Gleeson last night - good film and very thought provoking.
Watched "In the shadow of the moon" last night - it's a wierd mashup of genres (no spoilers) but I found it entertaining overall.
Just finished "Official Secrets" - based on the events around GCHQ whistleblower Katherine Gun.
I quite enjoyed it (decent cast too - Kiera Knightly, Matt Smith, Ralph Fiennes, Matthew Goode...
Started watching The Americans (on Amazon Prime) and a couple of episodes in.....really hooked.
The Grand Budapest Hotel - weird and wonderful in equal measure.
